New students can start their studies at the FHC in the winter semester only, in which case you are required to hand in your application between the 2nd May and the 15th June of each year. (deadline!)

The application period for students from higher semesters is from 15th November to 15th January of each year.

Applicants with "allgemeiner" or "fachgebundener Hochschulreife" (Abitur) or "Fachhochschulreife" from a course of studies that does not correspond with the chosen studies, are required to have at least 6 weeks of work experience in the desired field of studies ("Vorpraxis").

The German Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences - is a fairly new type of academic institution, which differs from a traditional university mainly in its practical orientation. Its goal is to convey scientific knowledge with specific emphasis on practical applications. Subjects taught include engineering, computer science, business & management, art & design, communication studies, social service, and other application-oriented fields.

We give support to students concerning accommodation on campus (450 modern single apartments with kitchen, bathroom/WC and modern facilities).

Yes, on arrival we provide receive services within the city. Students should inform first, in order to be able to get this service. We also provide guide services for residence permit, insurance etc. to new students.

In order to carry the personal expenses during the study in Coburg, we recommend a single participant to budget around 600 €uro per month for accommodation, living, health insurance, books and miscellaneous expenses.
